In this episode of the HotSeat, Wireless Design and Development spoke with Dr. Larry Dunleavy, General Chair of IMS2014.
Dr. Larry Dunleavy co-founded Modelithics, Inc. in 2001 as a University of South Florida spin-out company, to provide improved modeling solutions and high quality microwave measurement services for radio and microwave frequency circuit designers. He is currently serving as President & CEO at Modelithics. He also maintains a position as a tenured Professor within USF’s Department of Electrical Engineering, where has been on the faculty since 1990. Prior to this he worked for Hughes Aircraft and E-Systems companies. Dr. Dunleavy received the B.S.E.E. degree from Michigan Technological University in 1982, and the M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees in 1984 and 1988, respectively, from the University of Michigan. Dr. Dunleavy is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of the Automatic RF Techniques Group (ARFTG). He has authored or co-authored over ninety technical journal and conference papers and holds two issued patents.
He was a founding member of the National Academy of Inventors at USF and currently serves on the NAI Board of Directors. In June 2014, Dr. Dunleavy year will serve as the General Chairman for the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society’s International Microwave Symposium to be held in Tampa with an expected attendance of over 8,000 researches and practitioners.
