This year at IMS 2014, Wireless Design and Development (WDD) will be hosting a live, panel discussion on Driverless and Talking Cars: New Technology Transforms the Way We Travel.
Recently, the U.S. government made a push to incorporate wireless communication technologies in future car designs to not only help reduce car accidents and fatalities, but reduce environmental impacts and slash travel time. Could highways filled with driverless and/or talking cars soon be a reality?
This discussion will focus on the wireless technologies and components needed to make car-to-car communication possible. It will also concentrate on the infrastructure, possible design challenges, and market penetration.
Panelists from various companies will answer questions on safety concerns, security issues, test and measurement, power, connectivity, standards and protocols, and what the solutions are when it comes to cars who do not have this type of technology incorporated into their design.
