NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) has announced the availability of GRID Test Drive, a simple and secure way to test the power of NVIDIA's GRID technology for cloud-delivered graphics acceleration from almost any location. The first of its type, GRID Test Drive is available now across North America, with Asia Pacific and European deployments rolling out soon.
"NVIDIA GRID is experiencing strong customer adoption and engagement among OEM and ISV partners including HP, Dell, Citrix, VMware and Microsoft, who continue to add increasing support for virtual GPUs in new product releases," said Justin Boitano, GM Cloud and Virtualization Solutions, NVIDIA. "IT professionals know that virtualized graphics are key to VDI's success and increased implementation moving forward. Now they can easily experience NVIDIA GRID's performance and reliability via the first ever online trial of its kind."
To register and access the secure NVIDIA Test Drive site, visit http://www.nvidia.com/object/trygrid.html. Once registered, users have 24 hours to see how NVIDIA GRID can deliver a better experience for remote desktops and applications, run graphics-rich applications in a virtualized environment, and handle complex graphics files and images. In addition to using the pre-installed applications users can install and evaluate their own applications. Currently, the GRID Test Drive is available on a Windows Client. A version for Mac OS and Linux will be available soon.
NVIDIA GRID technology:
- Allows knowledge workers and high-end graphics users such as engineers and designers to utilize graphics-rich applications through the cloud, anywhere on any device, with the same quality and performance they would have on a professional workstation.
- Provides critical performance boost for enterprise users in virtualized environments running anything from basic web-based applications like HTML 5 to professional applications such as Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Offers the benefit of graphics acceleration for virtualized desktops without building proof-of-concept private cloud.
- Accelerates user insight into the benefits of virtualized graphics and provides an easy way for any GRID partner to demonstrate GRID technology.
