RFMW, Ltd. (San Diego, CA) has announced design and sales support for the TGA2611, 2-6GHz LNA utilizing TriQuint’s (Hillsboro, OR) GaN25 technology. GaN processes provide a highly robust input coupled with low noise figure and high gain, ideal characteristics for S and C-band radar receivers or broadband communication receivers. Small signal gain of the TGA2611 measures 25 dB while mid-band noise figure is 1dB. Drawing 110 mA from a 10 V supply, TriQuint’s TGA2611 provides 22 dBm P1dB with OIP3 of 32 dBm. Available as a 2.1x1.5x0.1 mm DIE, this TriQuint GaN LNA is unique to the market.
