Voyantic is launching a new test system for measuring the performance of UHF RFID readers at the RFID Journal Live! 2012 in Orlando.

The Voyantic Reader Test System is a tool for evaluating the functionality and performance of UHF RFID Readers. The system enables verifying the transmit power, and determining the sensitivity of readers, both conductively and in the radiated field. The system also provides means for monitoring and analyzing the communication between the reader and a tag. All these functionalities are controlled with an easy-to-use graphical user interface.

RFID reader manufacturers can use the system to verify reader performance both in R&D and production. Testing the impact of hardware or firmware revisions is quick and easy. For RFID application developers and end users, the system is a great tool for benchmarking different readers and troubleshooting applications.

The Reader Test System consists of the Voyantic Reader Tester Unit, accessories, and control software for a PC.

The Reader Test System is the latest addition to Voyantic’s family of measurement solutions after the Tagformance UHF RFID tag performance measurement system launched in 2007 and the Tagsurance UHF RFID tag manufacturing test system launched in 2011.
