Test system provides Technisonic dealers and end users with unique competitive advantage
Aeroflex announced today a collaboration with Technisonic Industries to provide automated test and alignment capabilities for Type 1 and Type 2 radios on the Aeroflex 3920 Digital Radio Test Set.
The Aeroflex Automated Test and Alignment procedure provides fully automated test and alignment of Technisonic radios without the need for user interaction. This test system ensures consistent and reliable tests and alignment to manufacturer-recommended specifications and to industry standards, ensuring proper interoperability and a uniform standard of performance within the radio’s network technology.
“Technisonic is pleased to work with Aeroflex so that our mutual customers can easily take advantage of their equipment’s automated test and alignment capabilities to support the maintenance and repair of Technisonic radio products,” said Robert Riel, Vice President of Operations, Technisonic Industries, Ltd. “These advanced features will enable Technisonic radio users to return our complex multi-band transceiver back to service in significantly shorter time intervals.”
“Aeroflex is pleased to have the opportunity to provide this unique test technology for Technisonic radios,” said Jeff Gillum, Vice President and General Manager, Aeroflex Wichita. “The 3920 provides an advanced method for repeatable and highly accurate test and alignment for Type 1 and Type 2 radios that requires minimal technical interface. Since the 3920 provides fully automated tests and alignment processes, Technisonic dealers and end users can now utilize their technical resources to provide higher value services.”
Delivery of the Technisonic Type 1 and Type 2 Auto-Test II Option is expected in March 2012. The Aeroflex 3920 has a delivery time of eight weeks upon receipt of order.
