Wave ConnectorsIntelliconnect announces the introduction of their new range of Millimetre Wave RF connectors. This new product range offers very competitive pricing, short lead-times and is backed by the excellent customer service that Intelliconnect have built their reputation on.

Millimetre Wave connectors are designed for use in 50 ohm systems and operate in the frequency ranges up to 110GHz, dependent upon series. The connectors are designed to have a low VSWR and return loss.

The construction of these devices ensures that the body engages before the centre conductor and ensures a rugged and reliable mating interface. The interface is an air dielectric with the contact supported by a short glass or polymer bead.

All Intelliconnect Millimetre Wave connectors can be configured to be terminated with flexible or semi-rigid cables. The series designation refers to the outer conductor diameter and generally the smaller the outer contact the higher the maximum operating frequency.

The Millimetre Wave connector family includes a 3.5mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 34GHz, a 2.92mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 45GHz, a 2.4mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 50 GHz, 1.85mm diameter model with a maximum operating frequency of 65GHz and a 1.0mm diameter model with maximum operating frequency of 110GHz. All types are compatible with relevant standard Intelliconnect RF connectors.

All Intelliconnect RF connectors are designed in accordance with the relevant connector Mil standard, have an operating temperature range of -65°C to +165°C and are manufactured in the UK and USA, using locally sourced components.
