Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. announces its software version 2.0 for its BumbleBee handheld Wi-Fi spectrum analyzer. BumbleBee is a precision spectrum analyzer series that interface with HP's iPAQ® PocketPC®. The company has updated its BumbleBee Wi-Fi spectrum analyzer's iPAQ software to version 2.0 for the Windows PocketPC 2003 OS. The software adds histogram, persistence and spectrogram measurement screens, new time marker functionality and band presets with Interference ID Assist screens for waveform identification of popular wireless interference sources such as microwave ovens, APs and cordless phones. In addition, the company has included its Chameleon BumbleBee Edition PC data conversion utility for filtering and export of collected RF data. BumbleBee measures 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz with the new Wi-MAX and 4.9 GHz Public Safety Band models recently announced.
