White Electronic Designs announces its 512MB DDR SDRAM memory module. This JEDEC standard device is suited for various high bandwidth, high performance memory system applications. White's W3EG7266S-D4 is a 64Mx72 Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM memory module based on 512 Mb DDR SDRAM components. The module consists of nine 64Mx8 DDR SDRAMs in 66 pin TSOP packages mounted on a 200 pin SO-DIMM. Height options include BD4: 1.25 inches (31.75 mm) and AD4: 1.38 inches (35.5 mm). The 512MB DDR SDRAM module features DDR architecture with data rates of 333, 266, and 200. Synchronous design allows precise cycle control with the use of system clock. Data I/O transactions are possible on both edges and burst lengths allow the same device to be used for numerous high density memory applications. It offers bi-directional data strobes (DQS), differential clock inputs (CK & CK#), programmable read latency 2, 2.5 (clock), and programmable burst length (2, 4, and 8). Programmable burst types include sequential and interleave. Additional features include auto and self refresh, serial presence detect, edge aligned data output and center aligned data input.
