Donna Dubinsky, CEO of Handspring, Inc., will speak on the future of PDAs at the inaugural Portable Power Conference & ExpoTM taking place September 21-23 at San Francisco's Moscone Center.

Dubinsky will also discuss how mobile phones will intertwine with a world of wireless data during her keynote on September 23 at 4 p.m. PDT. Dubinsky joins a keynote presentation lineup comprising leading industry experts, including J.T. Wang, president of Acer Inc.; Kamal Shah, mobility enabling initiative manager for Intel Corporation's Mobile Platforms Group; Rich Beyer, president and CEO of Intersil Corporation; and Paul Liao, president and CTO of Panasonic North America.

Presenters at Portable Power Conference & Expo will also release results of an independent worldwide user research study, "The Balance of Power," during the event. The research addresses a variety of usage issues, including recharging regimes, power duty cycles, use of ancillary features and power management circuitry.

The conference is designed to address the specific issues associated with providing power to tomorrow's portable computers and wireless communications products. In addition to the keynotes, Portable Power Conference & Expo will also include a variety of tutorials, plenaries and conference sessions addressing the most important issues facing the portable power marketplace. The conference program will explore the opportunities and challenges associated with next-generation portable devices and the power solutions necessary to ensure the success of future products.
