Magnetek's Power Electronics Group announces the HP750 Series Front-End Power Supply. The ultra-compact HP750 measures 1.6 inches high (1U) by 5 inches wide by 10 inches deep, producing 9.38 watts/cubic inch power density. An optional I2C interface with interrupt capability is available for system management and monitoring for highly integrated error monitoring and analysis. The HP750 Series with standard rear mount AC connection is designed to operate either as a standalone unit or as an integral part of a distributed power system. The product provides a single isolated output of up to 750 watts total with outputs ranging from 12 volts to 48 volts and 90% efficiency. The HP 750 products have an input ranging from 85 VAC to 264 VAC and can handle frequencies from 47 Hz to 63 Hz. Additional features offered to the system designer include: hot swap with low insertion/extraction force connector; power factor corrected; no minimum load requirement; self-contained ORing diodes; 5 V @ 1 A standby output; full output power up to 50°C.
