K&L now offers narrowband cavity filters up to 40 GHz with both high "Q" and low "Q" designs. The traditional high "Q" designs provide users with low insertion loss solutions to their filtering needs. The low "Q" designs can be provided in extremely small packages. The flange where the connector mates often drives the size of the package as these filters commonly have a 0.5" width and a 0.5" height. That size and the fact that most narrowband cavity filters, especially those with wider bandwidths, are usually constructed out of aluminum which is a relatively light weight metal makes them ideal for airborne and space applications.
