The honors were distributed to select suppliers at Celestica's annual Global Supplier Awards in Toronto. Merits were given in recognition of outstanding suppliers who have consistently demonstrated a shared commitment to Celestica's electronics manufacturing services (EMS) goals.
"Listening to customer needs, making appropriate business process changes and providing improved customer satisfaction are key goals for AVX," said Craig Hunter, strategic marketing manager for AVX Corporation. "We pride ourselves on enabling customers to outperform the market through enhanced service and superior device technology. Ultimately, our success depends on these customers' success in the market and therefore we are pleased to be recognized for helping an industry leader like Celestica achieve their goals."
The Partners in Performance awards are given to suppliers based on their ability to support Celestica's supply chain management objectives in the following areas: flexibility and responsiveness, impact on asset management, effectiveness and efficiency and overall supplier performance.
