Mini Proximity Sensors in Compact Housings



Turck, Inc. is incorporating its Uprox+ technology into its line of M8 miniature picoprox sensors to provide compact housings with sensing distances that exceed ferrite core sensors, especially while sensing non-ferrous metals. The sensors feature stainless steel housings and weld field immunity for use in harsh duty environments like tool and die, welding and metal forming applications. This technology provides extended sensing ranges for all metal types, and it features an integrated pre-damping protection function to reduce the metal free mounting area in applications, allowing traditionally flush mounted sensors to be recessed by half a turn for increased mechanical protection. All sensors are three-wire DC, 10 to 30 VDC, with PNP normally open or closed, or NPN normally open versions.
