The IHLP-4040DZ-15, available from Vishay, offers low DCR/H and is available in a 0.402 × 0.402 inches [10.2 × 10.2 mm] package with a low 0.157 inches [4.0 mm] height profile. The inductor is a space- and power-saving device that features DCR values down to 0.50 mΩ at 0.19 H. This Vishay Dale power inductor is intended for DC/DC converter applications in end products including next-generation mobile devices; notebooks, desktop computers, servers, and graphics cards; and low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load (POL) converters. It will also be used in distributed power systems and to regulate power for field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). In addition, the IHLP-4040DZ-15 handles high transient current spikes without saturation and operates over a frequency range up to 1 MHz. Saturation current and typical DCR values for the inductor range up to 44 A and from 0.50 mΩ to 5.20 mΩ, respectively, over an inductance range of 0.19 H to 2 H.
