Directional Couplers for Wireless Band Applications

MECA's 715 series directional couplers are high power capable and ideal for systems applications where precise monitoring, external leveling, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are necessary. Nominal coupling values of 6, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 dB are standard.

MECA's V-Line, 715-dB-1.400 directional couplers are designed to cover all wireless bands from cellular through PCS (0.800 GHz - 2.000 GHz). Insertion loss is less than 0.1 dB, VSWR is 1.15:1, and coupling accuracy is 1.5 dB. Directivity is maintained at 25 dB.

The 715-dB-0.900 is designed for cellular/GSM applications (0.800 GHz - 1.000 GHz) and offers insertion loss of less than 0.1 dB, VSWR of 1.10:1, directivity of 30 dB and coupling accuracy of 0.6 dB over the band. Couplers in this series are usable from 0.600 GHz - 1.200 GHz.

The 715-dB-1.950 is designed for the DCS/PCS/UMTS bands (1.700 GHz - 2.200 GHz) and exhibits insertion loss of less than 0.1 dB, VSWR of 1.10:1, directivity of 25 dB and coupling accuracy of 0.6 dB over the band. The couplers in this series are usable from 1.300 - 2.600 GHz.

All couplers are furnished with brass N-female connectors, gold plated contact pins, virgin electrical grade Teflon( insulation within the connectors and rugged aluminum housings. Operating temperature is from -65°C( to +150°C. Coupling values of 6 and 10 dB are rated for 100 watts average (10 kW peak) and the 20 - 50 dB couplers are rated for 500 watts average (10 kW peak) with low passive intermodulation of -140 dBc.
