Two-Capacitor Array

AVX Corp. has increased the capacitance range for its 0508 two-capacitor array up to 1 μF. Designated the W2A2xD Series, these cap arrays are ideal for applications requiring multiple 1 μF capacitors. This array package reduces board space by placing two components in the same board space normally occupied by one standard 0805 capacitor, and pick-and-place time is reduced by 50% when compared to discrete capacitors, making this product ideal for high volume applications. These arrays are available in standard dielectrics and in several voltage ratings.

All AVX capacitor array case sizes are available in NP0 and X7R dielectrics, capacitance values range from 10 pF to 470 pF (NP0) and 470 pF to .10 μF (X7R), with extended range options available in the X5R dielectric (.10 μF to 1 μF). Standard capacitance tolerances are ± 10% (NP0) and ± 20% (X7R), with voltage ratings of 6.3 V, 10 V, 16 V, 25 V, 50 V and 100 V.

The AVX capacitor arrays are available in tape-and-reel with package options of 1,000, 2,000, 4,000 or 10,000 pieces per reel. These capacitor arrays feature nickel terminations.
