Transient Discriminating Suppressor

The CRITEC® Transient Discriminating Suppressor (TDS) is the latest surge protector innovation from ERICO. This compact and economical surge suppressor protects valuable equipment from damaging surges and employs ERICO's patented Transient Discriminating ™ Technology (TD™).

The TDS series is a cost-effective shunt protection device that is installed across the power circuit near the equipment to be protected and is suited to more robust electronic loads such as electromechanical devices, motors, heating and lightning. It is packaged in a 35 mm DIN rail mount and features LED Status indication, plus optional Form C Alarm Relay. The TDS is UL 1449 Edition 2 recognized, UL 1283 Compliant and CSA Certified.

The TDS features Transient Discriminating Technology for superior life. TD Technology is a quantum leap in transient suppression technology for mains powered equipment. It offers a new level of safety and reliability, yet retains optimum protection levels for sensitive electronic equipment. TD is essential for any site where frequency placement of traditional technology during sustained over-voltage conditions cannot be tolerated.
