Spectrum Analyzer With DSP Circuitry and 20 MHz Relative Bandwidth Filter

Anritsu has designed its MS2683A with advanced Digital Signal Processing (DSP) circuitry and a 20 MHz resolution bandwidth filter that gives the spectrum analyzer siganl analysis capability. Combining 20 MHz resolution bandwidth with wide dynamic range and high sweep speed, the MS2683A can be used at the R&D, production, and maintenance stages to measure complex modulated signals in advanced wireless communications systems.

Covering the 9 kHz to 7.8 GHz frequency range, the MS2683A has typical dynamic range of 156 dB and 64 Msamples/s A/D signal conversion. The spectrum analyzer has displayed average noise level of <– 122 dBm maximum input. The high-end measurement capability allows the MS2683A to analyze signals used in W-CDMA/ CDMA2000, IMT-200, Bluetooth™, IS-95, GSM, IS-136, PCS, IEEE 802.11, WLAN, and MMDS systems.

The MS2683A is designed so that a number of common measurements can be made automatically, including occupied bandwidth, adjacent channel power, noise power, average power, and template comparison measurements.

For remote control and data collection, the MS2683A offers both an RS-232 Serial Port and a 120 kB/s GPIB interface standard. An optional 10Base-T interface is also available. Optional Windows based software packages allow full analysis of GSM and W-CDMA signals.
