Latham, NY - Integra Networks, Inc. recently achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification for the processes involved in the design, engineering, development, production, distribution, installation, and servicing of its line of fiber optic products.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification is awarded to companies that are focused on strong customer support, planning, leadership, a dedicated approach to quality, fact-based decision-making, mutually beneficial supplier relationships, and continual improvement.

ISO 9001 has existed for nearly 20 years. Released in November 2008 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ISO 9001:2008 establishes a more rigorous standard than earlier releases, and places more emphasis on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Certification to the standard is voluntary. Organizations seeking certification must complete a rigorous auditing process by a third-party registrar.
