Get ready to rethink the way you brew coffee — and the cost of it. The Blossom One Limited machine makes a fresh, hot cup of coffee, but it’s not your average coffeemaker.
A team of engineers who worked previously at Apple and at NASA designed the $11,000 coffeemaker that brews coffee at just the right temperature. Don’t start saving for your personal use, though — it’s not designed for the home at all. It’s intended for commercial use in cafes and restaurants.
This high tech machine, which is surprisingly smaller than I thought it would be, has a camera built in. That way, it can scan the QR code on the side of the bag of coffee beans that are being brewed, to determine just the right temperature to use for those beans. Coffee roasters can make their own custom recipes and the Blossom One will know just how to brew it to get the perfect taste.
We had founder Jeremy Kuempel up to Mashable to show us a prototype of the machine and explain just what it takes to make the perfect cup of coffee. And of course we tasted it too.
Check out the video, and let us know what you think of this pricey machine and what you think makes the perfect cup of coffee.
