Ericsson named Cybercom as an industry expert partner for the development of services and products for the automotive industry. During Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week, Cybercom will demonstrate its corporate concept for connecting the driver and the vehicle to the cloud using the Ericsson´s product Multiservice Delivery Platform.

“We are pleased to collaborate with an industry leader such as Ericsson. Together we are developing a complete solution to connect the driver and the vehicle,” says Magnus Carlsson at Cybercom. “For us the Multiservice Delivery Platform is a well-established, competitive telecom platform suitable for solutions in the automotive industry.” The concept will be demonstrated in Ericsson’s Pavilion in Hall 6 in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress starting 27 February.

The cloud based concept is expected to offer new sources of revenue, not only for automotive manufacturers but also for network operators. Ericsson, in its position as world leading telecommunications supplier, gets many requests from its customers about online vehicles and other devices. Cybercom will contribute as a partner with expertise in the automotive industry.

Multiservice Delivery Platform, MSDP, is a multimedia service platform used by more than one hundred mobile operators, banks and media companies around the world and serves nearly a billion end users.
