Eric Sorensen, Coordinator of Multimedia Development

Today on Meaghan's Minute, brought to you by Memory Protection Devices, Tyler Freeman is a drummer who has the habit of drumming and patting his pants. So to help other drummers and musicians produce real music while they’re on the go, he created Drum Pants, a wearable and fully customizable on-the-go musical instrument.

The kit comes with 100+ built-in sounds, including drums, percussion, synthesizers, guitars, pianos, or make your own.

It is also compatible with all apps that accept MIDI or OSC.

Users can quickly attach the kit to any clothing using the ultra-thin velcro stickies that feature three drum pad sensors per strip and access their Arduino and DrumPants from any website with the Javascript API! Drumpants works in most modern browsers, no plugins required.
