Xirrus Extends XR Line of Modular Wireless Switches

Xirrus announced the XR-1000 and XR-2000 Wireless Arrays, extending the flexibility of the XR-series wireless switch platform to cover a broad range of wireless deployments. The XR-1000 model provides flexibility for delivering wireless service in low user density scenarios, challenging deployments in areas with high RF attenuation, and in isolated or physically separated locations.

SmartAVI announces the release of a new DVI-D Switch, the RDU-2P. The RDU-2P is a 2-Port DVI-D and USB 1.1 switch. It can extend DVI-D and USB 1.1 signals up to 275 feet over 2 STP cables. Designed in cooperation with studio engineers, the RDU-2P has both a local switch as well as a remote switch. This design allows users in a studio environment to switch between two computers without having to go to their physical location.

Pickering Interfaces is expanding its range of PXI RF switches with the introduction of the 40-755 multiplexer modules. The 40-755 supports up to 10 off SP4T RF switches in a single module and is available in two different versions based on a common switch design. The high density version occupies just one slot of a 3U PXI chassis and uses a high density multi-way connector that is suitable for switching frequencies to 500MHz.

Aeroflex-Metelics Introduces 100 Watt SP3T Switches

Expanding on their family of high power switch products, Aeroflex introduces the MSW3200-320 and MSW3201-320 SP3Ts covering frequencies of 10 to 1500MHz and 200 to 4500MHz respectively. Both switches handle up to 100W of CW input RF with an IIP3 of 65dBm. Insertion loss is approximately 0.5dB. For pulsed applications, these switches handle up to 500W at 10uS pulse and 1% duty cycle.
