The International Microwave Symposium (IMS2012) program book arrived in mail the other day, a clear signal that the upcoming 2012 Montreal conference (June 17-22) is not far away. As I leafed through the colorful information package, I was quite impressed not only with the quality, diversity and scope of the technical program, but also the visible attention to detail.

There will be multiple opportunities to learn the latest in my area of expertise (active device test & measurement) at technical sessions, workshops, panels, wandering the exhibits, MicroApps presentations, … I also will take some time to learn about some of the emerging areas or some topic that has intrigued me but of which I know little – a great continuing education opportunity.
