QuickLogic (Sunnyvale, CA) has announced the availability of an SDIO-to-USB catalog CSSP solution that enables SDIO-based peripheral devices to connect to processors through a USB port. SDIO-based peripheral devices such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and others are becoming much more common, leading to a need for increased support in non-consumer applications. Features include:

  • SDIO-limited CPUs to connect to additional native SDIO Wi-Fi/Bluetooth devices
  • Enables developers of healthcare, industrial and infrastructure devices to easily integrate SDIO-based Wi-Fi/Bluetooth peripherals designed for smartphone and tablet applications.
  • Shortens time-to-market by enabling use of pre-certified SDIO-based Wi-Fi/Bluetooth modules.
