NEW ORLEANS -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sunrise Telecom® Inc.’s cable network analyzer provides best-in-class field spectrum analysis combined with the essential testing of DOCSIS® 3.0 networks to help speed cable operators’ efforts to grow their market share for broadband services delivered to small- and medium-sized business.

Many small- and medium-sized businesses transfer and upload massive amounts of data daily, putting more load on the upstream path. To ensure cable operators are meeting the expectations of these commercial services customers, they must reduce upstream ingress and test and measure the channel bonding capabilities used by DOCSIS 3.0 services.

The CM3800’s best-in-class advanced field spectrum analyzer spans the entire 1000 MHz bandwidth of network spectrum in one screen, giving technicians a full picture of the network. This snapshot simplifies and speeds up the assessment of cable network infrastructure. In addition, the CM3800 identifies network impairments such as ingress that impact video, voice and broadband data services with more accuracy, giving technicians an effective tool to reduce network outages and optimize service delivery – helping to reduce service-related OpEx and support revenue growth.

The CM3800 interfaces with the Sunrise Telecom realGATE Workflow Management Tool, a comprehensive web-based management system for managing assets and test results while optimizing workflow. Accessible anywhere through a standard browser, realGATE is a connection to the back office system, maximizing test consistency and supporting increased productivity. realGATE helps quickly diagnose area-wide issues, not just local impairments, enabling cable operators to get the most out of service verification, proactively reducing down time, and thus improving the customer experience.

The CM3800 provides a premium spectrum analyzer, analog and digital SLM, QAM analysis, PC emulation and DOCSIS 3.0 analysis providing field personnel with analysis and troubleshooting tools. The instrument also validates the effectiveness of DOCSIS 3.0 services by testing up to eight bonded channels in the downstream and four in the upstream and includes a comprehensive upstream and downstream sweep function providing full coverage of the 5 to 1100 MHz frequency range used for DOCSIS 3.0 services.
