Giga-tronics announces that it has achieved 30 years of providing industry with high performance test and measurement equipment. Founded in 1980, Giga-tronics is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

The company originally started producing test and measurement equipment with high performance microwave signal generators for defense electronics applications, a product line it continues to innovate and enhance with several key patents for advanced technology in synthesizer design.

Over the years, Giga-tronics has established a respected reputation in the industry for innovative power measurement and scalar network analysis capability, and recently added a line of microwave power amplifiers. In the 90’s, Giga-tronics expanded its product line with the acquisition of ASCOR signal switching solutions gaining a greater share of the market for supplying the building blocks of automated test systems, as well as the acquisition of MicroSource YIG oscillators, YIG filters and integrated microwave assemblies (IMA) technology.

Giga-tronics continues to invest in the design and development of the next generation of high performance RF and Microwave instruments and signal switching solutions. The company is a member of several key industry consortiums and standards committees, recently joining the new AXIe consortium. “Over the past 30 years, our Company has evolved as dramatically as our industry, but as always Giga-tronics remains committed to delivering the highest value products and services available.
