Mon, 04/26/2010 - 9:59am
DALLAS, /PRNewswire/ -- FireScope, a developer of IT Service Management solutions announced the release of the first iPad application for Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The application will be available for download via iTunes, pending final approval from Apple.

"The recent explosion of mobile platforms is fundamentally changing in the way people interact with technology," said Mark Lynd, President and COO of FireScope. "Unlike our competition who is burdened by decades-old architectures, FireScope is uniquely positioned by our Web 2.0 architecture to rapidly take advantage of these new platforms and deliver new capabilities to our customers."

The FireScope CMDB iPad app is a native application, providing an elegant and smooth user experience to quickly connect to an organization's FireScope CMDB and gain instant visibility into IT service configuration and change activities, without the need for a laptop or desktop.

Common tasks that can be performed anytime, anywhere with the CMDB iPad app include:

•Quickly inspect IT service dependencies

•View and approve Requests for Change (RFCs) remotely

•Perform impact analysis on prospective change

•Review configuration of critical assets

•Access all of your CMDB reports

Available for free with a mobile service enabled CMDB license, users only need to specify connection information for their instance of FireScope CMDB to be up and running.
