Analog Devices, Inc. has been recognized as the Golden Mousetrap Award Best Product Winner by Design News magazine for the ADMP421 digital MEMS microphone.

A combination of the company’s audio applications expertise and innovative iMEMS® technology, the ADMP421 won top honors in the Components, Hardware and Interconnect category for its ability to reproduce superior audiophile sound while lowering design costs – enabling portable electronics designers to create well balanced and true to life sound in a wide range of microphone-enabled devices such as cell phones, Bluetooth headsets, personal computers, and digital cameras.

“We are honored that Design News has recognized the ADMP421 for its ability to significantly improve audio quality in portable electronic devices, while dramatically reducing power and footprint requirements for designers,” said Mark Martin, vice president, Micromachined Products Division, Analog Devices.

“The ADMP421 offers the industry’s highest SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) and the industry’s flattest frequency response — with low power requirements and a small package size tailored to the design considerations of portable electronics manufacturers.”
