LED Assemblies Exhibit Low Thermal Resistance

Optek Technology’s OV4Z Optimal IV Star Series star-shaped LED assemblies present a thermal resistance of <2ºC/W from junction to heatsink. The products integrate 4 1-W LED dies into a single assembly for solid state lighting applications. The devices offer emitted colors of blue (455 to 460 nm), green (530 to 535 nm), red (620 to 630 nm), amber (585 to 595 nm) and daylight white. Typical forward voltage at 350 mA ranges from 2.5 to 3.9 V for the RGBA devices and 8.6 to 13.1 V for the mono-color assemblies, while luminous flux at 350 mA ranges from 5 to 36 lm and 29 to 162 lm, depending on LED color. The units exhibit a viewing angle of 60º, max. allowable junction temperature of 130ºC, and an operating temperature range from -50ºC to 100ºC.
