StarTech.com’s ECS0016 Conyx serial console server allows users to remotely monitor, troubleshoot and control remote networks and attached equipment using an iPhone, BlackBerry, Smartphone or virtually any mobile computing device with Java-enabled browsing capability. The 16-port device exhibits consolidated access and control of connected serial consoles on UNIX, Linux, and Solaris servers, as well as routers, switches, PBXs, telecommunications equipment (DSLAMs) and power distribution units (PDUs). The product includes DHCP client for dynamic IP assignment; offline data logging, out-of-band access, port triggers with SNMP and e-mail alerts; and SSH-tunneled serial bridging. The SUN- and Solaris-ready unit presents 3DES, Blowfish, AES, and Arcfour encryption, as well as Telnet, SSH and Raw TCP connect.
