CML Microcircuits' CMX992 RF receiver utilizes a superheterodyne receiver section along with IF local oscillator circuitry in Wireless Data and PMR/LMR radio systems. The 48-pin VQFN-packaged component supports multi-standard digital and analogue systems of constant envelope and linear modulation types. The Rx path includes an integrated 1st RF mixer having two outputs to support two external 1st IF filter choices, then an integrated 2:1 filtered 1st IF input MUX, followed by VGA and wideband RSSI functions to support AGC implementation. The 1st IF signal can be either I/Q demodulated to zero IF, or mixed down to a low IF output. The receiver operates at 1.8 or 3.3 V over a frequency range from 100 MHz to 1 GHz.
