Vibration Sensors Displace Piezoresitive Technology

The Colibrys wide-bandwidth capacitive accelerometers set new performance standards on vibration sensing, and they are expected to displace piezoresistive sensors in health and usage monitoring systems (HUMS), aeronautics, railway technologies and automotive crash testing applications. The extended bandwidth of these capacitive sensors, combined with a high degree of miniaturization make this product family well suited to meet the requirements of vibration measurement systems. The product family covers the full range from ±2 g to ±2,000 g, and offers a constant frequency response (<5% variation) up to 2 kHz.
