Micrel’s MIC2811/21 power management ICs provide four output voltages for system core, I/O, SDRAM, NAND flash, and Secure Digital (SDIO) with LDO regulators and a DC/DC converter. The 3-mm² device can supply two LDO regulators that operate from an independent input supply at 1.65 V and an input range from 2.70 to 5.50 V (with the output of a DC/DC converter and the remaining LDO). The DC/DC converter has a fixed switching frequency of 2 MHz and an output current rating of 600 mA. The MLF-16 lead-packaged ICs have an output accuracy of ?3% and an operating junction temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The devices target power portable devices using multimedia chips, DSPs, or FPGAs.
