Echo Cancellation and Noise Reduction Open-Programmable DSP Core Advanced Analog Audio Inputs
ON Semiconductor announces the BelaSigna 300, an ultra-low-power high-fidelity audio processor that targets portable communication devices such as mobile phones and hands-free kits (HFKs) for automobiles and wireless headsets. Its dual-core architecture enables multiple advanced audio algorithms, such as echo cancellation and noise reduction, to run simultaneously while maintaining ultra-low power consumption. A 24-bit open-programmable DSP core and a configurable accelerator signal processing engine enables the audio processor to deliver the flexibility of a generic DSP with the power consumption and size of a fixed function ASIC. The addition of advanced analog audio inputs combined with the 24-bit signal path allows for optimal audio quality. It can be designed into new or existing designs with little or no impact on the overall form-factor of the communication device.
