Triac Driver Optocouplers

Fairchild expands its family of random-phase triac driver optocouplers with these nine products in four-pin, MFPs that provide designers flexibility and space-saving benefits in industrial and consumer applications. The triac drivers offer designers a choice of three peak blocking voltages (250, 400, or 600 V) and three trigger current options (5, 10, 15 mA) that can be tailored to specific application needs. The products feature a steady-state isolation voltage of 3750 Vrms, full pitch (2.54 mm) lead spacing, and a 2.4 mm maximum standoff height. These optocouplers are designed to drive power triacs, which are used in applications such as AC motor drives and starters, static AC power switches, temperature and solenoid/valve controls, and solid state relays.
