The CM1214 is an addition to the PicoGuard family of ultra-low capacitance ESD protection arrays, offered in 1- and 2-channel configurations for AC applications such as Gigabit Ethernet and ADSL. The CM1214, with an input capacitance of 0.8 pF, is a ESD protection solution for emerging multi-band wireless handsets, power amplifier (PA) modules, 802.11 WLAN cards, Bluetooth modules and antenna designs where sub-picofarad loading is required. The CM1214 features ± 8 kV contact protection on each channel per the IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 specification. The sub-picofarad input capacitance design allows the CM1214 to be used in RF applications where there may be a greater sensitive to loading capacitance on signal lines. The CM1214 operates with input voltages up to ± 5 volts and features stable input capacitance characteristics over voltage and temperature, lending itself to applications in a wide range of physical environments. The CM1214 features a low clamp voltage of 7V, a level much lower than comparable polymer-based solutions (150V).
