J.W. Miller introduces a cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) inverter transformer series in a surface mount package. This device is an integral component used in power supplies for producing the high voltage needed to initiate lamp operation for back-lighting of LCDs. Key performance characteristics include an operating frequency of 60 kHz ± 25%, operating temperature of 0 to +75°C, and dielectric strength of 1500 Vrms. Available in five 6 watt configurations, input voltage selections include 25, 20, 15, 13, or 10.5 V with outputs of 1300 V, 70 mA. The surface mount package measures 26 × 16.5 × 7.1 mm and features a multi-sectional bobbin construction to prevent high voltage breakdown.
