The FAN1655 is a low-cost low drop-out (LDO) regulator that can sink and source 3.1 A peak current. This LDO regulator features Kelvin sensing, ensuring regulation of VTT to VDDQ/2 ± 40 mV for achieving the highest possible data bus bandwidth. A buffered VREF output capable of ± 5 mA is provided for SSTL-2 interface devices. Other features include power-conserving shutdown control and protection of the VTT output against overload and short circuit conditions by on-chip thermal limiting. Temperature range is guaranteed to be functional from a 㫀°C to +125°C range.
