Micro-Coax introduces the M-FLEX series of flexible microwave cable that provides excellent overall performance at higher frequencies at an economical price. The M-FLEX cables offer improved loss and phase stability, as well as excellent durability, making them well suited for microwave signal transmission applications. The M-FLEX cables are designed with a solid PTFE dielectric core underneath a precision wound layer of metallized tape for improved microwave shielding. The cables also feature a round wire braid and FEP outer jacket for added strength and protection. The result is cables with isolation of >90 dB for minimal cross talk and maximum system performance. Two M-FLEX cable types are available, both of which have a maximum frequency of 18 GHz. The HFE100D has insertion loss of 110 dB/100 ft at 18 GHz, while the HFE160D's insertion loss is 63 dB/100 ft at 18 GHz. Both cables feature impedance of 50 ± 1 Ohms, maximum capacitance of 29.3 pF/ft and maximum voltage of 2000 VRMS.
