The 74ALVCH16245 is a low-voltage, 16-bit CMOS transceiver chip with 3.6 V-tolerant inputs and outputs. The chip features a maximum propagation delay of 3 ns (for Vcc = 3.0 to 3.6 V), at least 24 mA of drive capability (for Vcc = 3.0 V), and static power consumption of 40 μA or less. The 74ALVCH16245 is fabricated with submicron CMOS silicon gates and five layers of metal wiring. It operates from a Vcc of 1.65 to 3.6 V and interfaces with 3.6 V signals. Pin compatible with 74-series 16245 devices, the 74ALVCH16245 features an enable input that effectively isolates a bus. An active bus-hold circuit holds unused or undriven inputs at a valid logic state. In addition, all inputs and outputs are fitted with circuits to protect them against up to 2,000V of ESD and transient voltages. Latch-up performance exceeds 300mA. The 74ALVCH16245 also features power-down protection on all inputs and outputs, as well as symmetrical output impedance. Multiple low-inductance power and ground pins minimize noise and ground bounce.
