Decibel Products, an Allen Telecom company, has successfully completed development and field trials of a unique dual band diversity polarization antenna for dense urban coverage. Dual band antennas are designed to provide two independent frequency ranges to operate under the same antenna radome. Models 721DD65ESXM and 721DD85ESXM provide 65 degrees and 85 degrees coverage in independent bands of 1850 - 1990 MHz and 806 - 896 MHz. Both antennas feature slant 45 degrees polarization with an engineered dipole structure that is resonant on both bands without the use of an expensive cross band coupler.
The dual band antennas are packaged so they can be mounted with connectors up or down, depending on the cell site. They may also be mounted flush to a building face and then painted to blend into the background.
