Alumina Resistors

Mon, 05/06/2002 - 7:16am
Anaren Microwave has designed and officially launched a new line of Alumina resistors designed to offer low- and medium-power amplifier designers a true, low-cost yet high-performance alternative to BeO and AlN parts. The new, RF Power-brand Alumina resistors are part of Anaren's "BreakThrough 2002" component line up, which also includes an all-new Xinger-brand circulator, delay line, vector modulator, and line of "pico" parts offered at new bands.

Advantages of the Alumina Resistors include excellent power handling and performance — with availability up to 6 GHz, standard resistance of 50 and 100 ohms with custom values available, non-nichrome resistive element for reduced passive intermodulation distortion, and excellent metal and resistive-film adhesion for added durability. The resistors are optimized for low broadband VSWR and are environmentally safe. A choice of flanged, flangeless, chip, or SM tape-and-reel packaging is available.
