Surface Mount Stratum 3 Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator

Designers of base stations and timing products will appreciate the tight frequency stability and low jitter of Connor-Winfield's new Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillators. Frequency calibration is ± 1.5 ppm at time of shipment. Output is HCMOS compatible and meets stability requirements of Stratum 3 applications. Low jitter of < 5 ps and ± 0.25 ppm temperature stability are ideal for a variety of telecommunications applications. Oscillators are available in 3.3 V supply voltage (Model ASOF3S3), or 5 V supply voltage (Model ASOF5S3).

Maximum-seated height is 0.3300, which minimizes stack-up space. Low operating voltage design allows designers to use a single 3.3 V power supply. Unique design considerations provide improved TDEV performance.

Other features of this new oscillator include TDEV < 2 ns @ 4 sec, ± 4.6 ppm over 10-year lifetime, < 5 ps jitter, ideal for Stratum 3, OC48 and OC192 applications, and ± 0.25 ppm overall stability, 0°C to 70°C.
