Two styles of compact transmitters have been announced as additions to the popular Linx OEM product line. The units feature rounded, cosmetically attractive packaging and are more compact than the current handheld transmitter. Both units are ideal for general-purpose remote-control and command applications. The Linx CMD-HHCP-XXX Remote Command Unit features a tiny external antenna which provides for longer (250+ ft.) transmission distances. Both units are pre-certified for FCC Part 15 compliance which reduces costs and time to product introduction. Available in 315, 418 or 433.92 MHz (418 MHz standard), these compact, handheld remotes can be configured with 1-8 buttons and the keypad and labeling can be modified to meet specific customer requirements. Selectable addressing provides security and allows the creation of up to 1024 distinct transmitter-receiver relationships. Address selection can be easily changed by the user via an externally accessible DIP switch. The transmission can be decoded using a matching Linx function module, a LC-Series receiver paired with a decoder IC or microcontroller or a KH-Series receiver/decoder. The unit operates from a single 3-volt lithium cell which provides several years of use under nowmal operating conditions.
