Multi-Chip Module SRAM

Maxwell Technologies introduces the 89C1632 high-performance 16 Megabit Multi-Chip Module (MCM) SRAM, featuring a greater than 100 krad (Si) total dose tolerance. The product's four 4-Megabit SRAM die and bypass capacitors are incorporated into a high-reliability hermetic 68-pin quad and flat-pack ceramic package.

The 89C1632RP has excellent single event effects, fast access times of 20 to 30 nanoseconds, and provides the option of a 3 V or 5 V power supply. In addition, the product has equal address and chip enable access times, three-state outputs, and all inputs and outputs are TTL compatible.

The 89C1632 utilizes Maxwell Technologies' patented RAD-PAK® packaging technology, incorporating radiation shielding in the microcircuit package. In a GEO orbit, RAD-PAK provides true greater than 100 krad (Si) total radiation dose tolerance, depending on space mission, which eliminates the need for additional box shielding. The 89C1632 is available in Class H or Class K packaging and screening.
