Flexible Oscillators

Mon, 11/19/2001 - 3:41am
In a move that eliminates design restrictions due to oscillator limitations, Temex has just introduced a new line of flexible oscillators that will meet any design need for critical data transmission applications. This new line is called QEV66HF, and it typically runs at 155.52 MHz with very low jitter performances.

The oscillators operate from either 3.3 V or 5 V rails. And, because they have multiple outputs, they have a unique design versatility. The complementary outputs include LVDS and LVPECL. In addition, the oscillators have a pullability of ± 100 ppm and a jitter of less than 1 ps. They also have an overall stability over 10 years of less than ± 50 ppm in the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

The parts are housed in a six-pad SMT package that is 14.5 × 9.5 × 5.5 mm, based on a FR4 substrate. And, the oscillators have tristate and enable/disable functions as well.
