Modular Light Source Selector Guide

Tue, 10/30/2001 - 7:25am
This Selector Guide describes a new line of flood and focused beam light sources designed to provide easy, cost effective polymerization of light curing adhesives and coatings in a variety of process settings.

The light sources shown are available as modules including reflectors, power supplies, shields and stands, shutters, and other related accessories. Featured are a 9× 9 wide area, moderate intensity flood reflector, a 5× 5 focused flood, and a 1× 6 focused beam reflector. Each reflector may be operated by one of three power supplies. Pictured are the modules tat can be mixed and matched to create effective curing processes for most applications. Constructed of durable, light weight, clean room compatible brushed aluminum, they may be mounted over already installed rotary indexing tables or conveyors, or they may be purchased mounted in complete curing stations or on conveyors.

Modules assembled into complete curing stations are pictured to present several of the many possible options. Also pictured is the array of modules including shields, shutters, stands, and accessories to make the curing process both safe and convenient. All shields allow complete viewing of the curing process and are designed to be height adjustable to accommodate variations in part size.

These moderate intensity light sources are capable of curing most UV adhesives and coatings between surfaces in from 1 - 5 seconds. Coatings and potting to 1/4 may require from 10 to 30 seconds to cure.
