Vertical Power Strips

Fri, 09/28/2001 - 9:40am
Pulizzi Engineering released the VPC1917 Vertical Power Strips for use in telecommunication, frame relay, and server racks where maximizing rack space is key to system design. The VPC1917 system stands 70 long × 2 wide × 2 deep and are available in configurations for North America and Europe. They are designed for long life and durability with an industrial grade housing made of 16GA cold rolled steel and zinc finish.

The VPC1917-1 is rated at 120 V/20 A in North America or 240 V/16 A in North America and Europe. The power is provided to the unit via an IEC60320 C20 inlet so that many different country specific cables and plugs can be used. Power output is via (12) IEC60320 C13 receptacles and the VPC1917-1 comes standard with a power "ON" indicator light that illuminates when power is connected.

The VPC1917-4 is rated at 125 V/15 A. Power is provided to the unit via a 9 foot long 14/3 cable that terminates with a NEMA 5-15P. Power output is via (12) NEMA 5-15R receptacles. The VPC1917-5 is rated at 125 V/20 A. Power is provided to the unit via a 9 foot long 12/3 cable that terminates with a NEMA L5-20P. Power output is via (12) NEMA 5-20R receptacles. Both the VPC1917-4 and -5 come standard with a power "ON" switch that also illuminates when power is activated and an over-current protection breaker with manual rest. EMI/RFI filtering and surge suppression are available as an option on all three models.
